Fireworks at a previous Swanage Carnival

Dedicated Swanage Railway volunteers are running special evening trains between Norden park and ride, Corfe Castle, Harman’s Cross, Herston and Swanage – to deliver people to the seaside town’s annual carnival and fireworks events.

The attended car park at Norden station just off the A351 north of Corfe Castle will be open every evening until 12 midnight this week – up to and including Saturday 2 August 2008.

That is so people attending the regatta and carnival events can leave their car at Norden and let the train take the strain as they travel town to Swanage to enjoy a variety of fund-raising carnival capers.

Tomorrow evening, Wednesday, 30 July 2008, from 8.30pm there is a dramatic display over Swanage by the Red Devils parachute display team which will be followed by a major fireworks display over the town’s bay from 9.45pm.

Saturday 2 August 2008 will see another major fireworks display in Swanage starting at 9.45pm as part of the town’s annual regatta and carnival in aid of local charities and good causes.
