RE-OPENING SERVICES

View the spectacular ruins of Corfe Castle - and the beautiful Purbeck countryside - from the comfort of our special steam hauled train service.

From Saturday, 1st August, Corfe Castle  station will re-open to passengers. This will allow passengers  visit the picture postcard village of Corfe Castle by train.

Capacity is strictly limited with seat allocation to observe Social Distancing regulations.

Trains cannot be boarded at Harman's Cross or Herston Halt, these stations will be closed.

ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS RELATING TO COVID-19
  • In accordance with current government regulations, all passengers on our trains are required to use face coverings that cover nose and mouth. The Swanage Railway may refuse carriage to those who do not comply with this regulation.
    Please note that the regulation does not apply to children under the age of 11, to railway staff in the course of their duties and in certain other situations
  • All bookings are final, no changes or alterations
  • Tickets are non-refundable.
  • Passengers who exhibit symptoms of Covid-19 or who have been in contact with someone who has, MUST NOT attend the railway.
  • Is it a requirement that you must visit the railway not have knowingly been in contact with someone with the virus for 14 days.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Toilets are only available at Swanage station and Norden Car Park (Dorset Council).
  • There are no toilets on the trains.
  • Our catering facilities remain closed until further notice.
  • Our shop at Swanage station will be open, subject to volunteer availability.
  • Passengers are requested to take rubbish home.
  • We are not accepting cash payments.
