Murder Mystery

Join Swanage Railway and The Irregular Special Players for an interactive evening of crime and detection. “It’s locomotory, my dear Watson”.

Enjoy a Sherlock Holmes mystery with a difference performed in period costume on a period train.  Join in the fun as you become suspects in this interactive mystery. Witness the discovery of the body, hunt for clues, and solve the crime while enjoying drinks and treats as you travel on the Swanage Railway.

On arrival you will be given a glass of prosecco or soft drink as you mingle on the platform and become witnesses to the dastardly deed. You will then board our historic Devon Belle Observation Car or 1930’s Maunsell coach to travel up and down the line solving the mystery while you enjoy an afternoon tea befire rurning to Swanage to unmask the murderer.

The train will be hauled by our historic class 33 diesel locomotive.

This event begins and ends at Swanage station. This event will be held on our platforms and on board our trains. 

Please arrive at Swanage Station for 1230. The event ends at approximately 1700.

1930s Maunsell Carriage tickets £54.50 per person

Pullman Observation Car tickets £59.50 per person 

Tickets include a welcome drink of prosecco or orange juice and cream tea served on the train.
